The NXGEN Residential football environment gives all players regular opportunities to participate in high level broadcast matches against appropriate external opposition, which will see several English Premier League football club scouts and representatives present at those games. NXGEN are extremely proud that it has seen several of their educated young aspiring players over the years make the grade, becoming professional footballers in leagues all over the world inclusive of the English Premier League, EFL Championship, and Ligue 1 in France. Our young International players here at NXGEN Residential UK really do train like a pro, play like a pro, and live like a pro.

NXGEN Residential UK Description

Here at NXGEN we offer every young aspiring professional footballer, from all over the world, the opportunity to experience what it is like to be a top player, within an elite residential environment on the outskirts of the English capital, London, the home of football.

Our UK residential setting allows International boys and girls between the ages of 11-18, to train daily with former professional footballers and UEFA qualified coaches, which ultimately gets them prepared and selectable for matches and game situations during their NXGEN experience, and in the future.

About NXGEN Residential UK Facilities & Accomodation

The program is hosted at Gordon's, featuring a modern £6 million sports hub with extensive facilities, including a large indoor sports hall, a state-of-the-art fitness suite, multiple grass pitches, and a floodlit 4G artificial pitch for matches. Accommodation is provided in recently refurbished boarding houses with resident staff, lounge areas, security features like CCTV and individual room locks, and complimentary Wi-Fi and laundry services. Player welfare is a top priority, with professional staff ensuring a relaxed atmosphere where players can develop camaraderie and enjoy their experience. The program aims to provide a comprehensive professional football environment, focusing on training, playing, and living like a pro.

About NXGEN Residential UK Pro Ambassadors

Jed Wallace

Jed Wallace is an English professional footballer who currently plays as a right winger for the EFL Championship club West Bromwich Albion. Born in 1994, Wallace began his career in non-league football before making his mark at Portsmouth, where he won Player of the Season and was named in the League Two PFA Team of the Year for 2014-15. He later played for Wolverhampton Wanderers and spent five seasons with Millwall, becoming a key player there before joining West Bromwich Albion in 2022. He also serves as an ambassador for the NXGEN program.

Ben Greenwood

Ben Greenwood is a young Irish defender who joined Weymouth FC in July 2024. Born in 2003, he developed through AFC Bournemouth's youth system, playing for their U18 and U21/U23 teams. While registered with Bournemouth, he gained first-team experience through loan spells at clubs like Weymouth and Eastleigh in the National League. He has also represented the Republic of Ireland at the U19 level. He serves as an ambassador for NXGEN.

Ben Old

Ben Old is a New Zealand professional footballer, born in 2002, who plays as an attacking midfielder for Ligue 1 club AS Saint-Étienne and the New Zealand national team. Before moving to France in July 2024, he played for Wellington Phoenix in the A-League. Old has represented New Zealand at youth levels, including the U-17 World Cup, and is now a full international. He holds the distinction of being the New Zealander with the most appearances in Ligue 1 and is also featured as an ambassador for the NXGEN program.

About NXGEN Residential UK Coaches

Paul Harkness

Paul Harkness is the Head of Football at NXGEN Residential UK. His playing career started at English clubs Camberley and Walton & Hersham before he moved to New Zealand to play for North Shore United, where he won a league title. Harkness returned to England to play as a centre forward for Farnborough in the National League, achieving success by scoring many goals and winning another league title. As his playing days concluded, he took up management, starting with a return to North Shore United as manager, and later headed Pulse Premier Football before taking on his current role at NXGEN.

Ian Savage

Ian Savage is the Chief Operating Officer of NXGEN Residential UK. He began his football career as a midfielder at Premier League club Southampton before moving into semi-professional football, playing numerous games in the National League for teams including Farnborough, Boreham Wood, Hampton & Richmond Borough, and Salisbury. His playing career at that level was cut short by a serious leg injury sustained at age 27. Following his retirement from playing, Savage transitioned into coaching and management, eventually returning to Farnborough as a first-team coach and contributing to a league championship win in his first season back.
