COLORADO UNITED SOCCER OVERVIEW
Programs & Offerings
Colorado United provides a massive, comprehensive "player pathway" designed to meet athletes where they are, whether they are taking their first touches or aiming for college recruitment.
Lollipops & Recreational Soccer: Focused on fun, friends, and fundamentals. The Lollipops program (U4-U5) introduces basics, while the U6-U15 recreational teams (serving 3,500 players) offer guaranteed playing time in a low-pressure environment.
Rec+ Program: A "bridge" program (U9-U12) designed to enhance the technical ability of players looking for professional instruction and extra training without the full competitive commitment.
Copa Program: A specialized developmental pathway offering a balance of competitive structure and recreational fun, complete with unique international travel opportunities (like the Real Madrid Experience).
Competitive League: A dynamic program (U11-U19) focusing on individual skill and tactical understanding, featuring professionally licensed coaches, out-of-state tournaments, and state league play.
National Platforms (Elite): The highest tier of play offering a pathway to college and professional levels. This includes year-round competition in the Girls Academy (GA), MLS Next, Elite Academy League (EA), and GA Aspire.
TOPSoccer: An inclusive community program designed for athletes with special needs, partnering them with high school-aged competitive players in a safe, fun, and educational environment.
Core Values & Vision
The club's operations are guided by a vision to create complete players through a supportive environment. This is supported by three main pillars:
Community Connections: Championing the South-Metro Denver area and maintaining deep roots with local parks and schools.
Age-Specific Development: Providing excellent, tailored coaching to ensure every player reaches their unique potential.
Lifelong Passion: Fostering a love for the game that extends beyond the pitch.
History & Legacy
Colorado United boasts a deep history in the state, originally founded in 1960 as the Littleton Soccer Club. In 2005, Colorado United became the official name of the competitive arm, and the club has since exploded in size to serve approximately 5,000 players annually. In the fall of 2023, the club added elite national platform programming (MLS Next, GA, EA), cementing its status as a top-tier destination for youth soccer in the Rocky Mountain region.
