Switching soccer clubs right before high school is a big step for any player aiming to play at the collegiate level. Four years ago, Landin Reilly made that move, joining St. Croix Soccer Club in search of a more competitive environment, elite coaching, and the structure needed to maximize his potential.
Today, he calls it one of the best decisions of his youth career.
During his time at St. Croix, Landin achieved significant milestones on the pitch, including playing in the ECNL National Selection game and making playoff runs in North Carolina and Seattle. However, he notes that his biggest areas of growth have been mental. Through the guidance of the coaching staff — including Coach Justin Oliver, who taught the team to quickly react to mistakes rather than dwelling on them — and the challenge of balancing academics with athletics, Landin developed the leadership and resilience necessary to succeed at the next level.
"I honestly don't think I'd be getting the chance to play at Gustavus Adolphus College without this club and the people who make it what it is today." – Landin Reilly, Athlete
