SARTELL JO VOLLEYBALL OVERVIEW
The Development Pathway
The Sartell Junior Olympic Volleyball Organization (SJVO) is a "not-for-profit" organization sanctioned by the North Country Region (NCR) of USA Volleyball, specifically tailored for athletes in the Sartell-St. Stephen area.
Junior Programs (Ages 11-14): Focuses on technical skill acquisition and introducing players to specific court positions and rotations.
Senior Competitive (Ages 15-18): High-level competition where playing time is merit-based, designed to mirror the intensity and tactical complexity of varsity and collegiate play.
Optimized Performance: Coaches focus on team strategies and player involvement to ensure the optimum performance of the group as a whole.
The "SJVO Way"
Sartell’s philosophy is rooted in the "Golden Rule" and the development of the "Total Athlete." Their culture emphasizes:
Character-Led Coaching: A mission to develop resilient athletes who apply the discipline learned on the court to their academic and personal lives.
Volunteerism: As a non-profit, the club thrives on a community-first model where parents and staff work together to keep the program affordable and high-quality.
Disciplined Play: Creating a culture of accountability and positive attitudes.
