Finding a soccer club that offers both high-level athletic development and genuine personal support is a top priority for families navigating the competitive sports landscape. For Annalynn Scheider, a four-year starter and high school senior captain, that supportive environment has been the St. Croix Soccer Club. Over the course of an eight-year journey that began at a summer camp with Coach Joaquin, Annalynn has experienced firsthand how a dedicated coaching staff can shape a player from their early developmental years all the way through the rigorous college recruiting process.

Throughout her time with St. Croix, Annalynn has competed at the highest levels, contributing to regional and national championship teams. A standout moment in her career was capturing the 2022 Disney Presidents Day tournament title at the ESPN Fields in Orlando — a thrilling victory secured through a last-minute overtime goal and a high-stakes penalty kick shootout. However, the club's impact extends far beyond memorable tournament wins and advanced technical skills.

Navigating the transition to collegiate athletics can be incredibly intimidating for high schoolers. St. Croix actively demystifies this process by providing structured resources, one-on-one meetings, and proactive coach-to-coach outreach prior to college ID camps and showcases. Furthermore, the club emphasizes holistic character development. By regularly analyzing game film with her coaches, Annalynn learned how to critically evaluate her own performance, allowing her to process both praise and constructive criticism productively — a critical life skill she carries well beyond the touchline.

"When I began looking into continuing my soccer career at the collegiate level, I found it intimidating because I had so many decisions to make. The staff at St. Croix held meetings to break down the steps, which helped a ton. They emphasized the importance of choosing a school that aligns with my academic and athletic aspirations." – Annalynn Scheider
