When Alberti first joined Park Valley United FC, the club was looking to do things differently and expand its footprint. The sheer volume of that expansion over the last decade has been his favorite experience to witness.
“It's been phenomenal to watch the growth of the club and the growth of all of our kids and our coaches,” Alberti explains. “When I first came on board 11 years ago, we had 20-some-odd competitive teams, mostly in the lower levels of city-state, and a couple of regional teams. Now we have 46 competitive teams.”
This growth isn't limited to the competitive ranks. The foundational recreational program has also seen an incredible surge. Alberti notes that the rec program grew from roughly 200 kids a decade ago to around 900 today. “It's just phenomenal growth in the last 11 years, and it's just been really fun to watch and be part of,” he adds.

Despite expanding its reach and competitive level, Park Valley United FC hasn't lost the core identity that makes it special. For Alberti, the club's culture has profoundly influenced his approach as a coach and director.
“I've really been impacted by the community feel of Park Valley,” he shares. “The families, the kids, the coaches — they all really love Park Valley. They're all in. It's just a very, very tight-knit community, and that has impacted the way I see things and the way I do things now... everything we do is for the community and for the kids.”

During the outdoor season, the club trains at Sandberg Middle School and Purpch Fields in Golden Valley, with Louisiana Oaks Park in St. Louis Park acting as their central hub. When the harsh winter weather arrives, the club seamlessly transitions indoors. Alberti highlights their excellent winter facilities, which include the Holy Angels Dome in Richfield and the Winter Park training facility — famously known as the former indoor training home of the Minnesota Vikings.
Reaching New Heights: ECNLRL and N1 Platforms
As Park Valley United FC continues to get better, the on-field results speak for themselves. The club is providing unprecedented opportunities for its athletes to compete on regional and national stages.
Alberti proudly points out that, for the first time ever, the club will be fielding ECNL Regional League (ECNLRL) teams at the U19 Boys, U17 Boys, U13 Boys, and U17 Girls levels. Additionally, they will field National 1 (N1) teams at the U14 Boys, U16 Girls, U15 Girls, and U14 Girls levels.
“It's something that our club has never experienced before,” Alberti says. “We're super excited about this upcoming opportunity, and it's really a testament to our coaches and the hard work that our players and our families have put in.”
